Today my son had his 2 month shots. He cried a little when he got the shots but was quickly comforted by my husband and a bottle. After that he fell asleep on the way home and slept for 3 hours. When he woke up he was inconsolable! The leg was a little swollen and he was crying worse than I have ever seen. When we contacted the doctor we were told to give him some infants Tylenol. It worked fairly quick and he fell asleep next to me. However, when I would get up while he was sleeping he would quickly wake up and cry. I felt terrible! After much cuddling and watching him sleep he later woke up and acted like nothing happened. I'm so relieved right now. If you are going in to get shots ask the doctor how much Tylenol they can take beforehand that way if you get into that situation you can react quickly.
